The Garden Gathering has welcomed global volunteers for peace from countries such as Hungary, Poland, Russia, and this year Norway, Mexico, and Thailand. Service Civil International (SCI) is one of the world's largest volunteering organisations dedicated to promoting a culture of peace by organising international voluntary projects (workcamps) for people of all ages and backgrounds. SCI was founded in 1920 and has branches and partners in 85 countries. SCI Hong Kong China represents Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China.
